Category C Licence

 

 

Category C vehicles are normally 18 tonnes and consist of a single unit ( they are often refered to as a “Rigid” lorry). With a Category C Licence you are eligible to drive a LGV over 3,500 kgs. There is no upper weight limit.Cat C as the first step and Cat C+E as the second step (fully articulated vehicles), to provide the highest qualification standard for commercial vehicle drivers.Learning to drive a Cat C isn’t difficult. You just need a car licence, and to be over 18 years of age.The recommended course length for the Category C Licence Course is 5 to 7 days of practical training, during which time our Instructor will turn you into a professional and you will become an employable HGV driver.To qualified as a LGV/HGV driver you will need to complete a Theory Test, and some drivers may need to complete a Drivers CPC.

 

LGV/HGV C&E DRIVER TRAINING

The LGV/HGV C&E test formally known as the HGV Class 1. Obtaining this license will allow you to drive a vehicle with a trailer over 750kg with a combined weight of up to 44 tonnes. Successful completion of this test will allow you to drive an articulated lorry with a drawbar trailer.Our LGV training courses are one of the best on the market.
